After legendary featherweight Marco Antonio Barrera exacted all his bitterness over his devastating eleventh round loss to “People’s Champion” Manny Pacquiao on a hapless former world bantamweight champion and Ring Magazine “Fighter of the Year’ Paulie Ayala to score an awesome tenth round TKO victory,a rematch with the Filipino southpaw appears likely.

Barrera has indicated he would like to fight Pacquiao once again in a rematch to which Pacquiao has responded by saying he'd like to get it on.

Pacquiao was on board a flight to Bangkok for a brief holiday with wife Jinkee, sons Emmanuel Jr and Michael Stephen and Team Pacquiao members Moy Lainez and Gerry Garcia when the fight was on. However, in a conversation with Viva Sports while waiting for take-off, Pacquiao said he expected Barrera whom he described as “a better fighter and harder puncher” than WBA/IBF champion Juan Manuel Marquez who salvaged a controversial draw in their May 8 title fight in Las Vegas , to win, setting the stage for a much-awaited rematch.
