Frank Maloney claims Scott Harrison is now Britain's top boxer after the Cambuslang fighter destroyed number one contender William Abelyan in
defence of his WBO world featherweight title last night.
Harrison has been criticised for lacking flair in the past but the Scotsman was in devastating form against the American-based Armenian, dumping him
to the Braehead canvas three times in the third round before the referee stepped in.
And Maloney, Harrison's manager, insists that such an impressive performance confirmed that his man has matured into the best fighter in the land.
He said: "Scott made a statement to British boxing that he is the number one fighter in Britain.
