MEGEVE, France : Spain's Iban Mayo of the Euskaltel team repeated his success of a year ago to win the 5.4km prologue of the Dauphine Libere Criterium cycling race in the Alps.

American Tyler Hamilton finished second one second behind Mayo and Lance Armstrong, also of the USA, was third two seconds behind the winner.
