Super League players Marcus Bai and Stephen Kearney will give evidence by videolink to the Supreme Court in New South Wales in a high-profile case brought by ex-Parramatta centre Jarrod McCracken.

McCracken is suing Melbourne Storm and their two former players, claiming that his career was ended by a spear tackle by Bai and Kearney while he was playing for Wests Tigers in 2000.

McCracken, now 34, says the tackle - in which his 106-kilogram body was propelled head first into the ground - was intentional.

Bai is in his second season with Leeds Rhinos, having been a member of their Grand Final-winning team last October, while Kearney has joined Hull but has yet to make his debut because of injury.
