All Blacks legend Jonah Lomu underwent a kidney transplant in Auckland, New Zealand, on Tuesday.
"It is too early to comment on the success of the transplant," said his doctor John Mayhew.
Lomu received a kidney from a live donor after 10 years of dealing with a serious kidney disorder.
The 29-year-old has not played for a year but has said that if the operation is a success he wants to try and make the 2007 World Cup.
