Rugby, Australian Football: Gannon signs contract extension

Huddersfield Giants prop forward Jim Gannon has signed a two-year contract extension.

The 28-year-old from Australia, who holds a UK passport and is therefore exempt from the Giants' overseas quota, will remain at the McAlpine until the end of the 2006 season.

"I'm glad that I've now got the deal and can remain at Huddersfield as I can see the club moving in the right direction," he said.
