College Sports: OSU's Birdwell resign's

Oklahoma State University athletic director Harry Birdwell announced Tuesday that he will resign at the conclusion of this year. Birdwell has served as the school's AD for three years.

"This was a difficult decision, but after much thought and prayer, my wife Cindy and I have decided it is the right decision for us," Birdwell said. "I love OSU and I am proud of what we have accomplished. However, my family and I believe it is time to pursue other dreams and opportunities for personal growth."
