Scottie Pippen had hoped to end his career with a contender, trying to win at least one ring without the benefit of playing alongside Michael Jordan.
Instead, it appears as if he'll end it having played just 23 games during the 2003-04 campaign, which saw the Chicago Bulls go 23-59 and Pippen miss
the postseason for the first time in his 17-year career.
According to a report in the Chicago Sun Times, Pippen was not expected to show at the Berto Center when the Bulls open training camp Monday with
media day and may announce his retirement as soon as Tuesday.
