It took a while, but the New York Islanders found a team in a worse slump than theirs.

Alexei Yashin scored twice and Dave Scatchard returned from a shoulder injury to register a goal and assist, helping the Islanders snap their seven-game losing streak with a 5-2 victory Saturday night over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Chicago is winless in 13 games (0-9-1-3) and has lost eight straight -- all but one in regulation.
