NASCO

I believe that NASCO, the project for the superhighway between mexico and canada (www.nascocorridor.com...), is more of a mass evacuation tool than it is a tool for commerce.

Tell us a bit as to why you think this is so?

Evacuate to where? and from where? Why does it totally bypasses the coasts etc?

BTW the whole interstate highway system was also thought of as a city evacuation tool during the early part of the cold war in the event of nuclear strikes. Not that it would have worked mind you.
