It's a fixed gun, anyone can take it out if they know it's there.

I agree that such a "sentry" weapon would have it's tactical problems. Being a fixed weapon, if everyone knew it's location, it could be easily targeted and eliminated by rocket or mortar....even a grenade fired from a rifle could eliminate it.

I would imagine that this new weapons effectiveness would depend upon it's tactical use.

Personally, I think that it might reduce the likelihood that the Jehowah's Witness' would come around on weekends. Though, I think that the price would have to come down a bit before I could really justify the two hundred grand pricetag. Still, what you pay to have some peace and quiet on a Saturday morning?
