Does not want Japan in the six party talks.

edition.cnn.com...

Clearly hoping to drive a wedge between China and Japan whose relations are only slowly improving, after the recent visit of the new Japanese PM to China.

Wont happen. Back to the drawing board. There is no way that Japan will be left out of the talks for actually upholding and doing what the UN mandated for them to do as passing the resolution on NK.

I agree, and believe that NK had this stipulation in mind the entire time. Agreeing to return to talks buys them precious time to do whatever it is they're doing, then stipulating that Japan not be included negates the premise behind the talks, putting us right back where we were, except NK is a few more weeks along in their endeavors.

Yep. Gotta give 'em credit...they are pretty good at the stalling tactics! Hopefully the world community wont let them to continue to play games, but i wont hold my breathe just yet.
