We all know torture is ineffective in obtaining information. What did NSA and CIA do during the Cold War to gather intelligence? Did they around up
KGB agents and Soviet military ranks and torture them in secret prisons? Of course, not. There are much more sophisticated techniques.
They think the American people is that gullible to buy it. Gitmo and torture prisons have two effective purpose. One, give the appearance of war on
terrorism. Second, create patsies.
On one end, you can make a patsy by turning them into stockholm syndrome victims. This would be a very small percentage.
On the other extreme, you make them hate America even more and they turn into jihadist. You release back into the population. They will tell their
experience, thus creating more anger in the Muslim world - "death to America". Most will be spintered and unorganized, these are categorized as in
insurgents.
There will be some that are more well-organized to attack American targets closer to home, such as attacks on embassies or even within US soil. The
CIA will have a ring-leader, a provacutor to control them. The leader receives guns, explosives, and money from the CIA to the jihadist.
