Terrorists cannot take away our freedoms and way of life. Only our elected leaders can do that.

US: Patriot Act, Homeland Security Act
UK: Prevention of Terrorism Act

How effective are these Acts in preventing terrorism?

When George W. Bush said the terrorists attacked America is because they hate our freedoms. It's one of those rare times that Bush is telling the truth. The terrorists do hate our freedom, because they have passed laws that methodolically chip away our liberty. Taking away our freedom.

It's insulting to suggest that people hate others' freedoms.

It's injustice, barbarism, racism, unequality, imperialism, etc, etc, that people have a problem with.
