Forgive me for not posting an image of the Map but the members centre upload space isnt working so just click on the link to view the map.
The map was drawn by T.E Lawrence . What makes the map interesting is that it was drawn up along tribal rather then political lines.

As we have seen the Map of the Middle East was drawn up on political lines the result of this is that without brutal dictator the countries that really only exist on a map fall into a civil war type state. In short the map of the Middle East needs to be redrawn along tribal lines but the problem is that I cant see this happening any time soon.

Do members have any thoughts that they would like to share on the matter ?

as i understand it, that is exactly what the neocons are engineering right now.

the longer goal is the Quote" Balkinization" of the Middle East
by creating dozens of smaller tribal 'states' which are more easily 'managed'
by the elites of the day (right now its the neocons)

continually stoking the low-grade disputes into sudden flare-ups, there will
need to be arms supplied to both sides of the disputes....making profits for
the numberous few.

Interceeding with that particular area/tribe/state with an appropriate
Paul Bremmer type of pro-council, adjunct governor to oversee the
'humanitarian' & 'stabilizing' influence resulting from the American presence!

Who draws the maps? Annan, who oversighted the food-for-oil-program in Iraq?
the US empiricists?
or a future evolving & developing Caliphate???

interesting subject

St. Udio, you make some excellent points, IMO. Just who will redraw this map? And who will be put in charge of running each of these countries? Also, I never thought about the neocons being the ones who are trying to restore tribal lines in M.E. Couldn't they come up with a little more peaceful plan?

For many years, I have believed that the map needs to be redrawn according to tribal associations, after all, tribe/family is what is at the very heart of the culture of the people who inhabit these lands.
