It's fairly easy to argue that Bush has caused more suffering than any political figure currently in office. This would simply be because the US has
more influance and impact on the rest of the world than any other country. During Bush's time he has been directly involved in 2 open wars as the
instigator. He was also in power during 9/11 and Katrina and has suffered alot of flack for misshandling those events. His trade policies have hurt
other nations, even allies. My brother lost his job in Forestry as a direct result of the illeagel softwood tariffs.
HOWEVER, blaming it all directly on Bush is naive.
He's just one man involved in a much larger political system.
He's a figurehead and easy to use as a scapegoat and political punching bag.
By the way...Chavez is just an annoying leader who is a ruler of a third world country. Who cares what he has to say? I would rather listen to the
rantings of Ahmandeinjhad than him. Chavez is just, eck.
By the way... you need to bone up on your info.
I've found Chavez to be a very interesting political figure. He's done amazing things. The fact that he leads a Democratic sociaty that also happens
to be socialist and supported by the populist vote is noteworthy, to say the least.
Hugo Chvez
Venesuela should be dissmissed as simply a "third world country". It's a member of OPEC and infact founded the organization. It is ONLY because
OPEC decided to trade oil based on the US dollar that America as been able to borrow so high against the world bank without backlash. If OPEC desides
to change it's trade currancy, the US is screwed.
That is why Chavez is a threat. He's well spoken, motivated, has a proven track record, and is talking about changing it's trade currancy on oil to
EUROS.
The man has clout.
