The US capital is in lockdown. They have a suspect in custody. News source to come just on cnn.

nobody else is reporting this. its not even on cnn's website. do you have any other sources? or anybody else seen/heard it on the news?

ahh thanks that has been added on cnn's site since i checked it. very few other news agencies are reporting it though. i only found reuters mentioning it so far.

The capitol has opened back up. Capitol police searched the rooms, and hallways. They fill secure now that they caught the only suspect.

U.S. Capitol opens after brief security shutdown

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Capitol was shut down briefly on Monday after a man was arrested for racing past security into the building, Capitol police said.

The suspect breached security with his car first and then got out and ran past guards into the building, Sgt. Kimberly Schneider said.
