Found this video on Dumpalink.Was wondering what causes this type of lightning? Is this common in lots of places? And what causes this type?

Looks like Florida lighting to me, and i have seen heat lighting like that to.

Same thing that makes ground to cloud and cloud to ground lightning. Electrical charges . Here and here
