NASA has officially lost most of Apollo 11 video footage

NASA has officially lost most of Apollo 11 video footage, and the video footage from 5 more moon landings.

It is not widely known that the Apollo 11 television broadcast from the moon was a high-quality transmission, far sharper than the blurry version relayed instantly to the world on that July day in 1969.

Unfortunately the footage has been lost, so I suspect we will never know what they really saw up there.
