War on Terror: War on Gays in Iraq

I still can't believe there is a "gay community" in any mid-eastern country, other than maybe Lebanon or to a slim degree Israel. Homosexuality is such a taboo issue. Anywhere, really. But in the mid-east things of this nature are so extreme. Anyone who would come out would just be courting disaster.

You know who wins from this situation? This administration and their long term goals; this justifies U.S prescence and need for subsequent reactions to democratize this society and bring forth more social change - so they'll tell us- though they're the very reason this type of genocide against homosexuals is occuring. The proper mechanisms were never installed to prevent such deaths nor were they thought of as is obvious when we see candidly that the entire outcome of this war has played exactly into the hands of these men in the administration: they've created an entirely war rampant society all over the Middle East which they can market as terrorists bent on destroying the American way of life through the deaths of thier fellows.

It's a conventional climate change of politics with the same negative implications as that of global warming will eventualy cause.
