If someone said "20 by 250" without any other terms, I would think "divide 20 by 250"

I'd fail that question on a test.

20 x 250, however, is clearly multiplication.


One tangent I just went on that seems to be a dead end is the Degree Confluence Project. This is where people visit every intersection of latitude and longitude lines.

They recently had their 5,000th visit to a confluence (20x250 = 5000, remember).

1 is with 1 and is with 1 might fit this.

Seems to just be a coincidence, though.
