I am not a Trek fan, but aren't most of their battle ships huge?
As compared to the SW universe where they have more of carrier type ships and launch many TIE fighters/ Xwings etc.
I'd say Trek has the better technology
Original TIE's don't have any shields.

Death Star is a space station not a typical ship :p
Good for Defence I would think, but not for invasions...
I am not that up on Trek type weapons but I am sure they have something equal to a death star's planet destroying ability.
But once AGAIN
TEHFORCE!
I wonder if a Star Destroyer was Real and so was the enterprise, wonder which is larger, I am thinking Enterprise would be, unless it was a Super Star
Destroyer.

how big is typical star trek ship?
SSD could fire it's weapons while scrambling fighters to attack the Enterprise :p
Guess it comes down to which weapon and shields are more powerful.

Yes, also I've noticed Star Trek weapons seem rather fragile.
SW is more of the technology that works better when you kick it :p

First off, as far as movies go, Star Wars is much better than Star Trek.
But I think that Star Trek does have more advanced technology than Star Wars does, with the beaming and sensors and all that crap.
I think that Star Wars would win. They have much bigger ships. If someone would just tell the empire to not leave big holes so ships can fly to the
reactor core then Star Trek wouldn't be able to stop things like the Super Star Destroyer and the Death Star. Photon torpedoes explode on them
without doing any damage.

Well he did run into the borg cubes and kicked some major arse... hmmm now that I think of it the borg cubes and the deathstar share a remarkable
similarity.

The Federation never really out gunned the cubes, they always had to use some sort of trickery or something.
Death Star can blow up a planet. Like someone else said, 'nough said.

No, the Death Star isn't a "ship", but that wasn't the question...
The question was combined forces...

I say the Asgard ships from SG-1 would win because they have a better beaming system than ST,they could beam darth vader inside and kill him, they
could even beam the hole crew of the star destroyer into space.

Ahh...but can they beam through shields?
I guess that's why he's comparing SW and ST...comparable tech (sort of). If you were to try no shields (i.e. Buck Rogers (tv show) or Battlestar
Galactica), they'd be toast against shielded vessels....
Battlestar vs. SW Corvette = lots of Battlestar debris...

If it was a ground war then the EMPIRE would plaster the STAR TREK team....
I think STAR WARs(George Lucas) has a massive budget as well compared to STAR TREK so they are a bit crazy to compare, and theres also the very good
point about EXPLORERs(USS ENTERPRISE) vs WARLORDs (The Empire was created to crush all and nearly did).
I love the STAR WARS movies and I also love the STAR TREK series, but Kirk in command of the new ENTERPRISE E I reckon he would own all...
