Norway housing seeds in a doomsday vault!

I found this article today on the drudge report with the primary source being from the AP.

NORWAY TO HOUSE SEEDS IN DOOMSDAY VAULT

But wait it gets weirder...here is a snippet from the article:
It sounds like something from a science fiction film — a doomsday vault carved into a frozen mountainside on a secluded Arctic island ready to serve as a Noah's Ark for seeds in case of a global catastrophe.

So far Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland are the ones involved in making this endeavor possible. and im not surprised, these people are pretty smart and inventive with stuff like this.
needless to say it is kinda creepy that things are coming to this.

I think that's odd, because I think Drudge printed this article back in January...

I wonder why he's recycling this story half a year later?

Yep it is on there today.

and if you go to the link i gave it goes to the link that the drudge report took the article from and it says right there at the top :june 18, 2006 and this is from the AP. so im not sure why it would be on drudge again if it was on there a year ago or why it would be being released by the AP again. but this is the first i have heard of it.
