Why? With SymantecAV, ZoneAlarm, and FF, there's no need for Microbloatware.

I wonder how many Service Packs and 10Mb bi-weekly updates this thing will require.

Okay, freaky - I read the first post and planned on replying with the exact same answer you had! It's like I've been cloned!

Amen, wecomeinpeace...it's like this stupid program is doing what Windows should be doing in the first place. Really seems like a sound business decision on Microsofts part, doesn’t it? :shk:

Bripe Klmun is absolutely right. Besides being absolutely unnecessary if you already have some protection, this new Microsoft product is an absolute "cpu hog". If you really feel like you must download Microsoft products, feel free but expect your system to bog down.

This program is XP only at the moment.
Now I don't know if the issue is wiondows vista or the fact that i have the 64bit version.

Either way, so far no vista support.
