The berbers are a people between the north-algeria and the sahara. They are not muslims, that's why the islamists terror groups (GIA (Armed Islamist Group) and the FIS (Islamic Front of Salvation) kill and oppress the berbers people (also called AMAZHIR).

The algerian governement also opress the berbers, because they want to make a cessession with algeria. Many times, the militaries from the lageria army killed berbers and put the charcge on the islamists groups.
