Breaking news on Fox at the moment, there is a fire curently burning at Lockheed Martin, Akron, Ohio. It appears to be the very large air dock building where they are going to make the prototype high altitude airship. Reports so far are that a welding spark set light to insulation on the quarter mile long building.

Sorry, no news links as yet.

High altitude airship link: HAA

I've been there before, though none of the blimps were at the time. That thing is huge. Did you ever find a link for your story?

Here are a couple images of the blimp hanger in question, from Google Maps.

The airport in its entirety

The blimp hangar

A small blimp on the grass near what looks like used to be the nesting ground for a VOR, and a light plane on the runway in the upper left. The blimp hangar can be seen in the lower left

I've come to the conclusion that the small blimp is the MetLife Blimp, though there is a chance that it's the Fuji Blimp.

Thanks for those pics and link cmdrkeenkid

Still can't find this on any of the other news sites yet, nor an update either. I would have thought it would have at least made the major ones.
