Was active army 92-96, then when I realized that:

1. Klinton was subverting and destroying the military
2. Klinton the draft dodging # had the gaul to ship us off to petty conflicts at the drop of a hat
3. The country I thought I was to serve was different from the evil #ers I actually was serving
4. Massive drop in the quality of soldiers coming in, a bunch of undisciplined, stupid, overweight, lazy, unfit morons whp I marveled at who the hell let them through basic
5. The castration and sensitivity training, the gentling and softening of the military to make it warmer and fuzzier
6. The sudden ban of dirty cadences, dirty jokes, insults, and good old wall to wall counseling, I found offensive, yet unfortunately, the nature of my taking offense was not PC, and thus, ignored
7. Serving under incompetant leaders that were miserable exucses for humans, let alone warriors, and I couldnt even beat them into submission.

I left the military, a hard choice, when my re enlistment came up, I told them to shove it up thier asses, I was through, goodbye, and it was heartbreaking, had the military not descended into such a pitiful state of affairs, Id still be in, but, as they say # happens.

True Tejano, very true, but you know as well as I, that most dolts out there think that just because someone is in the military, especially the Air Force, that a. we all fly fighters(which would kick ass) or b. that we are all privy to the most classified top secret stuff, when in reality, most of the time we dont know any more than the average civilian

Skadi the new troops have only got worse since you left. I'm a Staff Sargent in the Air Force and I would like nothing more than to take some of these new troops out back and teach them some respect. I don't even know how 90% of them make it through Basic. This kinder friendlier military needs to go.

some of my friends that work in Intelligence say they got idiots constantly asking them about UFO's and Area 51 type of stuff...
