Yeah, no kidding. In situations like that, it's best to say "yes dear" and not even look at anything remotely female.

I hear ya. You dont wanna spend the whole night going:

"But honey I was just looking!! There's nothing wrong with just looking"

*slap*!!!

LOL!!

I think the least tastefull costume I ever did was back in about 1999. I wore a hooded sweatshirt and aviator sunglasses, just like the sketches of the Unabomber. Another fun one was when I strapped a blue dot over my face and had a friend put handcuffs on me, so I could be the guy who's always getting arrested on the tv.

LOL!! Those are pretty funny. I once saw a guy who wrapped himself in toilet paper and he said he was a mummy. LMFAO!!!

Colonel, MA is very correct, buy all the damn turkey legs you can at the Rennaissance Fair. I was vegetarian when I had them (don't ask) and even then I loved them. In MD they were only two bucks or something. I don't think they sell turkey legs at Giant/Safeway or anything.

Had 'em. Loved 'em. The juice was dripping off my chin. The mead was great too!

Okay, Colonel, I'm trying to get this straight. You're not going to give out a few morsels of candy to the young little whipper-snappers who are trying to collect some of the same great memories you have of Halloween, but you have decided to dress up as a Pirate.

...my question is: Exactly who are you going to dress up as a pirate for??? You and the honey with the lights off watching tv...with a pirate suit on?

Bein's as Halloween is on a weekend this year, and my kids are too old to give a care (and hopefully I won't find out my 19 year old son dressed up as a pirate), I'll probably pass out a bit of candy for the wee-ones (hoping my grandson comes by dressed as a Barnacle Bill or something) and then head down to the local pub and shoot pool until I reach the point of not being allowed to post on ATS

I like Halloween...it's fun. This year, you should consider letting the kiddies come by. Every year there is some little munster that makes you laugh.

My best memories of Halloween were in my 20's. So, no, ther kids need to stop bugging me. They got crap in school for them to do and all those cartoons...

I'm dressing up as a pirate to celebrate my heritage. I was born in the West Indies.

ktpr, Colonel

The time I went to the Rennaissance Fair I bought up all the turkey legs as the stand closed, on spec... I think it was 70-80 turkey legs for $30.

Fed 10 of us. Some had more than others. I was hungry.

Yeah, Halloween is cool. This years's my last year celebrating, as I'm getting old. (21)

I found a green skeleton costume that glow in the dark.
I plan on getting high on speed or something and breaking hell loose in the street of my little town.

We shouldn't forget it's a celebration for the dead.

That's what I personnaly think, but I figured out people might think I'm a retard lol. Well they'll probably think that anyway when they'll see a green dancing skeleton in their yard.

Thanks Ocelot

Everyday is Halloween at my house. I hate Christmas. halloween is my day of choice.

I am almost 30 and yes, I still trick or treat. I can get away with it cuz I look like a little kid. I shall trick or treat this year too. My favorite costume for trick or treating is a ninja.

When i was in the army, I actually got mysefl a 4 day weekend pass for participating in the Battery halloween party for the kids. I showed up dressed up as a can of beer, and made it a point to scare the little kids as much as possible. I helped set up the tent, since I was pretty much the most, bar none, demented morbid person in my unit. I made one hell of a halloween display using only chemlights, camo nets, and some alice cooper/judaspriest/ozzy/ministry tunes i compiled on a tape. My commander was pleased. I was the scariest can of beer around.

the halloween before that one we were in the #ing field on a three week exercise, and #, was I pissed! So I made it a point that night to scare the # out of everyone, and walked around with a 50 pound wrecker chain around my neck rattling it and playing jokes on launcher platoon by sticking a nasty piece of limburger chese in thier heater duct so the stench filled the tent. They didnt find it funny, and no one would sleep in that tent for days, but at least I carried on the halloween spirit of pure evil malicious intent.

Well, you certainly look like you know how to party and how to have fun

I love halloween my self too. A part from the St-Jean-Baptiste ( a local holiday), it's my favorite holiday of the year.

Edit: Sorry for the double post

I hate that trick or treatin crap, givin away free food to a bunch of monsters

But I thought you were a Democrat?

Seriously... I'm performing in a local production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, at Tampa Theatre (one of those old style ones, with the balcony, etc. gorgeous place). I play the Shiek Transylvanian, and also make, wrangle props...
Usually, most proceeds go to a charity (think it was the Red Cross last year).... We'll leave an "honor" bucket of candy out... In our neighborhood, usually the kids are accompanied by parents, so should be fine....always has been...

#, I dont care how Old I am, I deserve that candy more than those brats do! Those stupid kids got mommy and daddy to buy em stuff! Let them do what I have to do and wrestle my roomate over a half eaten three month old Mars bar we discovered buried in the couch cushions!

Free candy. I love halloween. The only night of the year i can dress up like a freak, beat on peoples doors at 9 PM and threaten them with mischief, to recieve in return a bag of free eats without getting the cops called on me!

God bless America for keeping alive this most insane yet noble institution!
