Nice pics. I saw a documentary on N. Korea and the city of Pyongyang is beautifully done. Its just a shame its so desolate. It seems like a great waste of effort for such a nice place and hardly anyone is there. Nice and clean tho. No traffic thats for sure. I can imagine if things start improving there and it becomes a bustling city N. Korea will be another major consumer of oil as well, just as China has in the past decade.

Why is everything so empty? Its strange seeing those big cities and no one wandering around in them. Is there a reason for this?

Notice how no one is fat. Every man is clean shaven. Life looks dull and colourless.
The sky looks grey and uniform and order rain true.

I'll take dignity and the right to vote for grey fat old poopers any day. though luckily in Australia the population still has the power to control the government in some way. Look at the Bondi Beach riots recently. How easily could the population of 20,000,000 over run the army of 70,000 and the police which i'm not sure about.

A guy in the army i know says the biggest threat to the army here is the outlaw bikey gangs. Steeling weapons and such.

Arrival at Danton airdrome.We went to the hotel and have a rest.The second day,We went to the Danton railway station,get on the train which would sent us to Pyongyang.


Until 11:00,The train start to move,The picture was taken on the Yalu bridge.


As soon as we reach the CIQ.There is an official to do some check.

Shiny Happy People

Not big on smiles, are they?

The pictures in the last post are a veritable riot of mirth versus the previous posts, where I think I saw maybe a half-dozen smiles on dozens of faces.

Maybe not a representative sample, but still, it makes me wonder.

I think North Korea is probably the only truly mysterious place left in the World
and as such is of great interest.

I remember Cuba was like this on my first visit there many years ago before the
Tourists arrived.

There is a North Korean Government Website which has some interesting
photos taken by groups of friends of North Korea from many western countries
who have Visited over the past few years.
