How were stealth planes discovered?

Just to add my two cents (it has been a while since I contributed), a lot of focus goes into radar stealth, and understandably so. Often overlooked though are the IR, visual and acoustic signatures. Not so important to aircraft flying above the engagement zone of small arms and IR MANPADS, but for helo's and aircraft engaged in lower altitude missions, these aircraft benefit more from signature reduction in these areas, as well as in RCS.

Yes... I suppose the saying "Ask and you shall receive" works well in this situation...
