French Leclerc main battle tank video.

Nice music and video. Even though it shows other vehicles employed by the French, the Leclerc seems to be the main show on the video. I was like WTF when I saw one part where the Leclerc made a really fast sharp turn, I knew tanks can turn, but didn't know they can turn like that while at high speed.

First of all, its a great looking tank, looks tough as nails. Very impressive.

I don`t intend this post to be a " dendence of the French " , but the reason for this is engineering -- not french cowardice

the gear boxes on tanks and other equipment often have :

1-2-3 . gear gox

AND :

HIGH - LOW - CRAWL ¬ REVERESE . splitter / transfer box

giving 9 forward , and 3 reverse gears .

the brittish challenfer has 6 forward / 2 reverse . and if you look into the issue -- its likley that other tanks / AFVs have similar transmissions .
