"I went upstairs and I looked in the cage, but none of the mice were marked," she said. "I looked at them and thought: 'what's happened?' I thought the post doc hadn't done the experiment.

"So we did it again, and we watched them, and there it was - the holes had closed up. I thought, 'Oh my God, this is just amazing'."


Another promising discovery.

Yeah, I saw this one before I was trying to find it again.... Excellent find though. Just think of what this could mean to the practices of tomorrow...

We can already create 'body parts' on animals such as mole rats. Maybe the future of 'part replacement' could be as simple as a few injections of some gene therapy treatments.
