Is there any way possible to turn off bb code, and smileys in u2u's.

I had sent a u2u giving some instruction to another member on the use of tags, to use smileys using their url.

And also instructions in using abbreviations like
,
, etc.

But in the u2u, I could not find a way to turn off bb code and smileys, so my instructions did not appear as I intended.

I magine there is are bb code tags for this, but I am not sure.

Anyone have a suggestion??

You could always refer the person to Zedd's Handbook on bb code.

I've found it to be a useful reference for this kind of thing.
Also take a look at some of the other threads about bb code by clicking the tag you put at the bottom of this thread.
Sorry I can't help more, but I don't know of a way to turn it off.

Yeah, I've tried everything I thought of.

But I have found nothing in regards how to turn off in u2u's.

btw - are you running on full steam, or still using borrowed laptop?

Here's another link to FAQ that people can look at for quick reference.
It's just a list of bb code.

PS. The main system is still down, I'm getting a mother board in the morning and will start to rebuild it from scratch.
I brought the kitchen microwave out to the living room to use for now. It's only a P2, but it works pretty good.

Tell the recipient to hit the reply button on your message and all the BBcode will be laid out quoted and unactivated in the reply.
