This is goulash similar to what my mother makes, and here's how I make it.
1 box (1 lb) pasta shells, elbows, or something along that line
2 lbs ground beef
3-6 oz cans tomato paste
2 cans dark red kidney beans
Cook pasta as per box instructions. Cook ground beef and once it's thoroughly browned add in tomato paste, kidney beans, and 1/2 onion, chopped (do
this while pasta is cooking).
Once pasta is done, combine everything in a big pot, or better yet a crock pot (which is what I do).
