This has to be one of the most depressing things I've read in a long time. We really are making ourselves hated out there, which is more fuel for the insurgency. Damnit, we need to stop this kind of thing!

the US-led invasion three years ago at between 33,710 and 37,832.

Considering that the iraqis were murdered by hussein for decades and still didn't welcome US troops, they probably don't give a damn about their own civilian casualties.
