In your honest acedemic opinion, do you believe that common sense
was applied when "they" deducted that in this given incedent a soul
could be sold this way?

ahhhhhhhhh - FUN!

In my honest .. and VERY rusty .. opinion, I think you are projecting a
bit of your own ethnocentricity into this 'study'. Be careful not to
place value judgements of your own and expect quantitative
data, when what you are looking at is qualitative data in a
interpretive sociological perception. First, learn how to use the
interpretive sociological study and see how people perceive
their own surroundings. You are in a 'natural setting', not a
scientific lab with controls. This is an excellent setting for you
to learn how some folks make sense of their everyday lives.

Look at Weber's views on sociological investigations. He believed
the key to interpretive sociology was 'Verstehen' - the German word
for 'understanding'. Sociologists don't just observe what people do,
but they share in their world of meaning and come to appreciate
WHY they act as they do. Make the subjective thoughts and feelings
of those you are reading here ... make them the focus of your
attention. They are 'bias' in the eyes of science, but they are
key to understanding motivation in your 'study' (chatting on
this thread).

Ethnocentricity, science, metaphysics and common sense
probably won't ever be able to come to peaceful terms, at
least not on the internet in this time period in human history.

Sociology and science ... sociology and common sense ...
those don't always mean the same thing.

Now if you want to go at this from a psychology point of
view and not sociology ... forget everything that I just said.

How's that for an honest academic opinion??
Are we having fun, or what??

Good point. It probably does. Or at the very least,
it demonstrates the belief that they believe that
some other people believe in it and that they would
make good 'marks' to hit upon to sell a soul to.

Get a load of this

To the average viewer a simple battery; but to the unique new person that will now receive, and become the new possessor of this apparently "simple battery" will know the real truth; with your first touch of this "battery" … you can now know, that this soul, my soul, is yours for eternity

I'm going to be watching this item!

Excellent find Isis!

I think someone with a pay pal account should
buy a few of these and let us know wassup'
with them.

This particular soul Isis found is going for 99 cents
at the present moment!

Wonder what size battery it is? What happens
when the battery runs out of juice, like if you
use it in a toy? Does the person's soul wink
out for all eternity?? ha ha

Some batteries you can lick and get a charge on
your tounge with. THAT's a discussion that
will have to wait though ...

Looks like a AA. Yea what if I use it on my CD player. Will that mean that I'm subjecting his soul to secular rock of SOAD?

Virgin White Female Soul

Currently at $4,050 with 25 bids.

Apparently some souls go for quite a lot on eBay.

This is fantastic! $10 bucks for a piece of paper!? I bet I could charge shipping and handling too (cha ching!).

I've been trying to figure out how to make money legally by ripping off believers.

Look for a spamandham soul for sale at an ebay near you! (I just need to figure out how to do it first).

This listing (#5667253134) has been removed or is no longer available. Please make sure you entered the right item number.

Oh ofcourse it had to be removed right!
The auction at $4050 has also been removed!! Ive noticed that this doesnt discourage the "virgin" boys and girls from selling though. I just saw few more fresh ones listed yesterday.

I wonder how much hot blooded Spanish souls are going for? Lots of passion. Must be worth more than the common ones.

Nah....!

I think its great that with the one that I just found, you have "who will save your soul" by Jewel in the background playing!

His isn't going for all that much, poor thing. Has anyone attempted to buy one? I mean, if anyone could spare some change (like 15 bucks) we could buy one and have a resident soul for ATS. This really is too much, but I know they have been selling haunted rings on there for quite a while.

Latina souls, dgtempe, are probably among the hottest of items, when it comes to souls. If I find one, I'm buying.

Does this mean that instead of selling my soul to my job, I can use someone elses? Do I still make as much money?

Ya'll can buy some vodoo spirit water with trapped souls inside.
It's not like people actually selling their own souls - but the
souls of others.

cgi.ebay.com

No - I don't believe this is real, but I'm adding it to the conversation
because it's applicable.

AND another soul up for bids ...

I still say we should get together and sell a "box" promising that it contains all your fondest wishes and desires...we could open the bid at 5,000$.....
The responses would be incredible and we could give everone an ATS TShirt with the proceeds plus a cut .

I like this idea. Why should we be left out?

Lets do it.

This reminds me of a episode of the Simpson’s when Bart sells his soul to Millhouse.

I believe we have a soul, but anyone that believe you can sell it on EBay maybe deserves not to have a soul them selves
