Orbs from dec2005 (with pics)

Looking through my christmas pictures a 2nd time I noticed something weird in the pictures.
I showed them to friends and one said it was and Orb? and suggested I post it here.
It was taken on good quality digital camera.
These pictures are un-altered except I scaled down %40 for the web.
This is the most prominent and clear orb attached.

I have other pictures but they are fainter but there are more Orbs in them.
The orbs never appear in the same places.
I noticed they only appeared in the pictures we took christmas eve.
Only in the livingroom and only that evening.
What are orbs and what do they mean?

This is from your exif data(the information encoded in digital photos): "Flash = Flash fired, auto mode"

When using a flash, things get reflected. This was probably a small piece of dust, or a flare.

Honestly, it is amazing how orbs only appear when there is a flash used. Go figure

So your saying it is a piece of dust or something?

Then that means I should be able to recreate the orbs by throwing dust in the air and then taking pictures with a flash on?

I am off to try it now, see if it works.
