Pakistani Military Sources Say Zawahiri May Be Dead

Jan. 13, 2006 — Today, according to Pakistani military sources, U.S. aircraft attacked a compound known to be frequented by high level al Qaeda operatives. Pakistani officials tell ABC News that al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's top lieutenant, may have been among them.

If this is infact true, today is a good day in the War on Terror, i guess we wont know until the sift through the rubble !!
Unfortunatly the article gos onto say some innocents where killed in the bombing raid

It'd be great if he was killed...but these guys seem to have almost died so many times it's frustrating...so I'm not counting on it until there's some real hard proof.

Take everything with a grain of salt, if Zawahiri does not make any videos to refute this statement, then we can proceeded from there.

It looks like its definitly in pashtun territory. Its in the "FederallyAdministered Tribal Areas", per this site, with an estimated population of just short of 60,000 people. Peshawar is an important city in the region.

Another report from Bajaur said the arrested men included an Uzbek and a Chechen. The report said the troops came in seven to eight vehicles, surrounded the homes in the two villages and carried out the search operation from 4 to 8 am. However, Maulana Faqir Mohammad claimed more than 40 vehicles brought the troops that raided their homes. "My brothers wanted to put up resistance but they were prevailed upon by two tribal elders, Malik Haji Gulzada of Damadola village and Malik Abdul Aziz Khan of Kamar Mamond, to surrender. They assured my brothers that they would not be harmed and would get justice," he said.

Maulana Faqir Mohammad alleged that the sanctity of their homes was violated and women were insulted during the search operation. "We aren’t that strong to give refuge to wanted Arab nationals. It requires the faith and courage of Taliban leader Mulla Omar to give protection to guests such as Osama bin Laden. We weren’t hiding anyone and all those nabbed are locals," he maintained.

eck after 4 years and less reason behind that "theory"(and it isnt a theory scientifically) than reason to invade canada, you and others still believe it?

What you need to handle is real news and facts, not some half assed story and theory surrounding 9/11, lord knows there's a million of them. You’re so hung up on your precious “BushCo." that you think every thing revolves around them.
