Some than 57 million Italians were affected by a massive power cut on Sunday.

A tree falling on a Swiss transmission line to Italy and French storms are thought to be to blame.

Atel, the Swiss company involved, said a tree in canton Schwyz was partly responsible.

The French company, RTE, has denied it contributed to Italy's worst power cut in a decade.

This is only my opinion;I think someone has developed a new weapon,or software, and they're trying it out-taking it out of the box and playing with it.They need to make sure it works before they try it out on North Korea or Iran. And they may very well be installing new surveillence technology during these "opportune moments".They get to test their toy as well as their own preparedness for other contingencies all at the same time.Either that or the ET's are trying out THEIR toys.....It's a weather balloon, lightning, squirrel in the transformer, swamp gas,JUST A COINCIDENCE......
