Lockerbie

Just seen a Lockerbie TV programme on Sky 3 (UK TV). It mentioned the following:

George Stubbs local police officer was one of the first on the scene. "Within 2 or 3 hours" FBI swamped the scene searching for a case containing $1m. Large quantities of heroin found. A body was missing and was taken away. Lots of tampering. Suitcase was taken away then put back. Evidence destroyed.

Flight used for drug smuggling and FBI knew about it. Case would have normally have been detected but agents could have let it through thinking it was drugs. Cases of heroin could have been switched for a bomb. UK customs knew of the drugs run between Frankfurt and USA. CIA exchanging the free passage of drugs for info on hostages. 6 victims were US intelligence agents including Major Charles McKee.

US intel tipped off 3 weeks before by US embassy in Helsinki. Diplomas told not to fly.

One CIA agent pulled son and daughter off the plane at Heathrow. Ravell (spelling?).

1 week before there were no seats available, but students booked day before flight as VIP's canceled.

Libya paid compensation because Gadafi wanted to get sanctions lifted.
