I have a memory I can't make sense of, it arose in a vision I shared with someone years ago. Someone who I'm unsure I ever should have trusted.

We were crossing a vast red desert in a massive convoy, the planet was dying and we had to escape. We crossed space in a group of ships to come here, to Earth.

I've always felt that this was a memory from a past life, that at some point in ancient history Mars was once what Earth is now. That possibly the fate of Earth too will be to become a dry empty planet - perhaps in far future Venus will be the next jump?

Has anyone else ever dreamt of the red planet?

Do you remember any reasons WHY the planet was dying?

When you say a convoy........ convoy of what? trucks, cars, wagons, vehicles you cant describe?

can you give more detail on your memory?

If you look at the vision as a whole it might be a premonition or a recording.

but if you cut it down, it could be different things spliced together. i read a book long ago about this guy who was convinced that he had led an amazing past life. the guy examining him came to the conclusion that the guy did have visions of a past life, but his current enviroment had unknowingly affected his visions

just something for you to consider. hope it helped!

Like the others said can you give us more details.
You shouldent really look upon these as past lives visions though there differnt then that really.

I'm initially curious as to how the vision came about. Was it regression therapy, drug induced, a dream that came out of nowhere, etc...
Memory is notoriously malleable and unreliable.

This is something that I experienced 10 years ago, so unfortunately the details are a bit hazy. I'm not making any major claims here - I've just had it knocking around in the back of my head since then and I was curious to see if there was anything to it. I don't have vast psychic powers - intuition can be good most of the time, but I tend to feel rather than see.

This all happened with an ex lover of mine. We started to feel pretty strongly that we had known each other somewhere else before, and decided one night (after a mild amount of cannabis use) to mutually concentrate on this feeling to see what happened. After sitting facing each other for a bit, we both experienced a couple of distinct and unusual 'memories'.

The first was as described above - it was very hazy, the convoy seemed to be vehicles (tank/wagon type), there was a general air of fear. I don't know why we were so afraid.

The second flash was of another place. We were on a hillside at night under a huge full moon, looking down on a valley with a river (can remember the light glinting). We were naked and defenceless. An army appeared over the hill headed by a figure bearing a standard and wearing a huge horned mask. My partner was shot with an arrow and died in my arms.

This is the only time I have ever experienced anything like this. However just before our relationship broke down I caught a glimpse oneday of what I presume was my partner's aura (again this has only happened the once so I can't be sure if it was his aura). But I looked at his head oneday and I saw black.

Not long after we split up I had a very upsetting dream that my ex died to protect me, and I was left to defend his reputation. I still experience periodic dreams about him, although we hadn't been in contact for about 6 years now and are unlikely to meet again.

There is a good chance none of this is what it seemed, and I was just unfortunate to be involved at a very vulnerable stage of my life with a person who not only had an unhealthy hold on myself, but also others. There is an equally good chance that this is something more that than. I'm only posting to see if this is something anyone else has experienced, as right now I'm aware that I seem to have 'something' but also not very much confidence in my ability to trust it

I havent experienced anything like this in regards to Mars............

the image of your lover dying in your arms sounds intense for want of a better word.

what seems to stand out for me though is the guy in the horned mask........ and the use of arrows!

were the two visions related to Mars or were they two separate visions?

We weren't able to work that one out I'm afraid. It was unclear whether then incident on the hill happened after 'arriving on earth', or in 'another life'. My gut feeling tells me it was the latter, as the time felt more recent and I was able to perceive more peripheral detail. The first flash felt incredibly ancient

have you explored this more? through like hypnosis or something like that since having these visions?

Yes, so have I. In my dream, there was a vast ocean covering much of Mars' northern hemisphere. Two battleships were escorting the escape ships. They were extremely powerful vessels, but they were hopelessly outnumbered by attackers, and one of them was destroyed. I don't know what happened to number two. I also remember a huge swathe was burned across Mars by a shot from a massive energy weapon that grazed its surface.

Maybe I've been watching too much Sci-Fi!

Thought this was an unrelated to the Mars dream but I'll continue with it anyway, since you mentioned being on a hill in some sort of medieval setting.

The dream went funny after the ship was crippled and re-entered Martian atmosphere. I next dreamt that I was wearing an armoured and lugging a big sword around. I pulled off the armour (it was too heavy for me to carry armour and a big sword) and kept finding other layers underneath it, some which had faces as adornment. Finally I got to a layer of chain mail and was pretty much satisfied with it. I don't remember much after that, except that my surroundings were medi-eval-y.

Really strange story with the arrow hitting your friend. Maybe it is of a past life perhaps? I don't know.

I've always had a theory that we originally came from Mars and that we left because we bankrupted the planet of its natural resources and was dying and that the so called missing link of our ancestors was due to earthlings mating with the martians thus creating the human race, my kids say I'm crazy, has anyone seen the picture of what looks like an underground structure that is either being uncovered or covered up by the winds on Mars, its shaped like a giant caterpillar, for lack of a better description? Anyway your dream sounds almost like it goes along with my theory, sort of.

could be GENETIC memory

could be CELLULAR memory & communication

could be 'mythic' symbolism; Mars >man/warrior >blood

could be LUCID dreams- visions
+++++++

whenever you discover, what your brain is 'relaying' to you, do tell all of us.................s/riff raff

I'm tempted by the mythic symbolism. It feels like a story keeps being replayed here. My ex first died on me in the 'memory', then he died on me again in the dream, and finally appears to have died on me again in real life (figuratively speaking rather than physically)

I'll get to the bottom of it oneday - or use it as a basis for some fiction

Maybe the dream/vision is telling you to move on, accept things. Listen to your gut/heart.

On the other hand, it may just mean absolutely nothing or you're not interpreting it right. Very often you block what you don't want to understand from it and concentrate on the things that give you pleasure - or pain, depending.
