North and South KOREAs to make a common team for the Olympic games 2004, Athens !

I dont know if there is still are article posted about that on ATS, but I learnt yesterday that the NK/SK are going to make a common team for the olympic games in athens 2004. Maybe it's the first step for the re-uniting of korea ?

That might be only a symbolic thing. Those 2 countries a very far away from unity.
Still, nice to know that there is hope...

From memory, they also marched as one during the Opening Ceremony for the Sydney 2000 Olympic games.

maybe some day in the far future they will unite.

if they did unite it would have to be pretty far in the future.

I cant see South Korea turning communist or North Korea giving up communism any time soon.
