Actually, the -117s will be around a little while longer with the USAF. They just underwent an upgrade to the RAM coating that was completed in the last year, or so. One reason the rumor is going around that they're going away soon is that the fleet hit 150,000 flight hours recently.

Yah, but they were supposed to start getting rid of the KC-135 several years ago, and now they don't plan to get rid of them for a long time.

The picture above - second picture of supposed stealth is very obviously a fake , I have been a designer specialising in photographic manipulation for almost 15 years now and I hardly need a second look to conform beyond any doubt that picture is faked - a composite of the first with the 'object' added graphically. If you need convincing take a carefull look at the first image - specifically the formation of and number of birds in flight above the building and poles - now zoom in the second, cut away the half where the 'object' is visible and you will see that it is simply a zoomed and cut duplicate of the first! it's not a very good fake at that. the 'ufo' object was simply added to the open space.

.. and you needed to drag a thread up from 2 years ago just to add your "expert" opinion?

waynos already stated that it was a real UAV, and had seen it before.

FYI, you're wrong about the birds, if you cut and paste the one onto the other so that the buildings, poles, etc match, the birds *are* in different positions.

If you alter the levels or even just look at the picture in inverse colours, you can clearly see the complete lack of cut and paste artifacts, or new smooth pixels around the UAV, indicating that the object is naturally in-situ, otherwise known as... not faked..

If you really are a "designer specialising in photographic manipulation for almost 15 years" and I'd employed you, I'd be wondering just what you'd been doing for the last 15 years...
