THAT WAS THE POINT OF THE THREAD, FULCRUM. you can continue to call me a fool, BUT YOU HAVE NO CONCEPT OF AMERICA'S INTERNAL POLITICS. put on your jackboots and stay out of conversations that don't concern you. By your definition, you're just as much a "first class fool" as me. You misconstrue the truth for your own bidding, everyone with an ardent opinion does it. Your unwitting nature is staggering.

Ok,

Will stay out.. but:

If this is US internal matter.. this should then be in the MUD PIT!

And not here.. what ever..

Im gone.

I have a collection of quotes from the LEADING Dems (including Slick Willy) that absolutely CONFIRMS your post.

These even have the dates and TIMES the scurvy dogs made their comments...

U also have it RIGHT when you intimate that the "Bush Bashers" are the one's lending CREDIBILITY to him... It's fewkin' HILLARIOUS! Well, it would be if it wasn't so SAD...

Thanks, Springer. If you have the quotes, you may want to lay a few out for the good people. I remember them from when they were being said (knowing they would soon forget their own words) but don't remember them exactly.

The hypocrisy of the liberals is what makes me look like a mindless Bush supporter, I can't focus on his shortcomings for having to point out to the mindless libs the shortcomings of their two-faced, backstabbing, nation-selling heroes. Pretty tiresome, really, as Bush and his administration needs superior minds like yours and mine watching and criticizing it, instead of the knee-jerk liberals that do it in such a shallow and fraudulent manner!

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line." President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998.

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998.

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face." Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998.

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983." Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998.

"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998.

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998.

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies." Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999.

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the
United States and our allies." Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, Dec, 5, 2001.

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandated of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them." Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002.

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country." Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002.

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..." Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002.

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002.

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction." Sen. Jay Rockerfeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002,

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do." Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002.

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002,

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction." Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002.

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real ..." Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003.

SO NOW THE DEMOCRATS SAY PRESIDENT BUSH LIED, THAT THERE NEVER WERE ANY WMD AND HE TOOK US TO WAR FOR HIS OIL BUDDIES??? Right!!!

My post #188575 about saying I was standing by facts, and not by the fact that Ted Kennedy was the messenger, and that I have now said that 2x, 3x, no 4x now - is the only thing that I can imagine Springer and TC think is out of context, which it isn't.

I also encourage people to look at Michael Meacher's take on the same material.

If there is something else here that I can't see because someone is #ing around with the Board, I apologise!

In the case of the above quotes, Springer, which read as a very interesting supportive statement of the extent of corruption in the two-party system you seem very happy to live with, I believe a link would add to the 100% plausibility, as I can see at least three that are in error.

BTW, I'm no Democrat, and what you have put up there doesn't seem to assist Bush's position any, as his admin instigated the phony OSP that sold Congress on their phony evidence.

The fact that Bush lied to Congress before lying to all the American people serves to make it much worse.

Oh, for Pete's sake, M-A, the senators have as much info as the Shrub!

There's no evidence of NBC weapons, other than the fact that there are 1,000's of dead Kurds, recipes and equipment. Sure, we haven't found the smoking gun yet, but remember, we just recently found buried fighter planes in the desert. It'll take time to find anything.

Terror connections? I dunno, what would Abu Nidal say?

Weather balloon labs AND buried fighter planes AND dead Kurds?

The reason for the war was the clear and imminent danger of deployable WMDs. It has been diluted to weapons programs. No scratch that, it wasn't the weapons, it was really to get rid of an evil Dictator, and Iraq will be better off.

Hang on! Over there! The weapons are in Syria! No, there - Lebanon! But wait - we can talk about the Saudis and 9/11 loosely, now. Oops, Iran is looking like a nuclear capable country some time!

No, wait! OPEC is later this year - let's do Venezuala!

Now - aha - there's Saddam over there - let's go talk to him! We'll have a blackout for some cover, shall we?

I can follow the ball under the three cups fine, thank you. This is the most criminal and corrupt government in US history.

"Asked whether he would grant the United Nations greater authority in Iraq in order to achieve a UN resolution, Bush replied: "I'm not so sure we have to, for starters. But secondly, I do think it would be helpful to get the United Nations in to help write a constitution. I mean, they're good at that. Or, perhaps when an election starts, they'll oversee the election. That would be deemed a larger role."

First Quote, "Im not so sure we have to." Well then WHO IS??? Arent you the friggen president??? Aren't you about to address the UN tomorrow??? Shouldn't you know??? Who gives this guy clearance?

Second quote, " I do think it would be helpful to get the United Nations in to help write a constitution. I mean, they're good at that."
..."They're good at that".... Picture this. You have a couple of rednecks sittin around talking with heavy southern draaawwwlll.
-Bubba "Yessirreee, them foreign guys seeerrree can writes up them funny papers with long words about freedomss and stuff"
-Jim Bob "Ya sure is right Bubba...they makes em all pretty with that rightin they doo. Whooowee they is sure good at that diploma stuff"
- Bubba "use is right daddy..now lets git sis and makes another baby!!!"
Our president's intellectual prowess is devestating. As a graduate of Harvard and Yale, world traveler, govenor, businessman and now president of the strongest country in the world he thinks that the UN should help write a constitution because "they're good at that"! Wow (VOD sits stunned, reeling) what a statesman!

And thirdly, "Or, perhaps when an election starts, they'll oversee the election. That would be deemed a larger role."
.....That would be deemed a larger role....wow. This man is so gigantic an intellectual that he doesn't even have to use correct english when speaking.
Im sure that the UN would be more than happy to be "deemed a larger role" by overseeing the election. They couldn't possibly want any spoils of war, none of that oil stuff. Germany, France and Russia who lost an aggragate 600 million dollars in loan repayments when Saddam was toppled will jumping at the bit to settle for overseeing the election. Jesus Christ this guys an ass...
America deserves this yahoo redneck. Any country that can create and sell a piece of equipment that shocks your stomach so you think your getting abs of steel while you sit on the couch eating french fries and watching f**cking Oprah deserves this ignoramus.
I say let this country fall. Let the whole mess obliterate itself. When its over the smart people can come out of hiding, round the remainders up and ship their a*s off to Alabama. It couldn't possibly lower the general IQ of that great state any further!
