FYI, Mary Magaline really only has a connection to the prostitute that Jesus stopped from getting stoned in Catholic Dogma, which is really what the
whole book tries to discredit.
And well it should. There is nothing to connect the Magdalene with the afore mentioned prostitute but proximity of mention and RCC/Fundie tradition,
which I might add the RCC
bailed on saying something to the effect that It was a mistake.
there are however several identifying connections between The Magdalene and Mary of Bethany, ya know the sister of Martha and Lazarus (he whom thou
lovest). Who can also be identified with the Mary " out of whom 7 devils were cast" perhaps a reference to an Initation
ritual ? Perhaps a Temple Priestess? Which could also suggest a connection with the "prostitute" as some of the time refered to the Temple
Priestess' as " Temple Whores"
