A super-sized bird in Alaska (done - nine years later)

i've spotted a thunderbird here in illinois vally area summer of 2010. its wing span covered 3 fully grown trees. i was about a mile away from it, it wasn't a plane or a hang glider because it dove behind the trees and the wings had movement. it was a dark golden color that seemed to shine in the sun.
