at first glance the issue is pretty straight forward - IMHO there is no place in a civilized society for such material
the question has come up this week as [ in the uk ] it has been revealed that ISPs do not have a uniform public policy on this issue
the first thing that struck me - is they may be blocking the sites covertly , to make it harder to circumvent thier measures
of course freedom of speech advocates point to such measures as the " thin end of the wedge "
and i sort of agree - NOT that i think that child porn should be availiable to anyone , rather who is deciding that a given site is to be blocked ,
and why
if i ran the zoo - i would add barney the dino to the banned list , which is why i am not allowed to make such desicions
