i actually saw about a 5min thing on them on the discovery channel last night. they say they were a civilization that only died around the end of the ice age.the show called them hobbits aswell.

wasn't there a special on Discovery about this,oh about 7 months ago? i remember seeing something about "hobbits" and miniture elephants.
