Need some advice from transmission experts.

I have a 1997 Grand Caravan. I think I may have a problem with my transmission.

Sometimes, when I push the accelerator, it acts like it's in neutral when it's in drive. The engine revs--but no acceleration.

What are some causes of this? BTW my Service Engine light is not coming on.

The other day when I was driving it did it and I had to pull off the road, put it into Park, then put it back into Drive.
