It is called feline leukemia (FeLV). And as far as I know, the treatment is long and expensive, and all it realy does is prolong the cat's life. It
is actually a virus. The best thing is to have the cat vaccinated in the first place. If the cat is already infected and there are other
non-vaccinated cats, quarantine the infected cat from the others immediately, and take them ALL to the vet for tests.
